- All India Navodaya Vidyalaya
- RIMC – Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun
- RMS – Rashtriya Military Schools.
It is to be noted that each of these exams are different, independent and conducted on different dates.
Admission In Class 6
A common application form is filled for all the 33 Sainik Schools of India. The entire application process is ONLINE. It is being conducted by National Testing Agency.

Submission of form | Online at the same site by uploading the documents and payment of fees |
Important dates | Online Application window: One month in Sept / October. Downloading of admit cards : Nov / December Written Exam : January |
Important documents to be uploaded with the application form | Photographs Digital signature Date of Birth Certificate Domicile Certificate Caste / Community / Category / Defence certificate , if any |
Admission In Class 6
A common application process is followed for admission into Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools across India. The entire application process is online and conducted through the official system under the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
Availability of form | The application form is available online on the official Navodaya admission portal. |
Submission of form | Candidates must fill out the application form online and upload required documents within the given timeline. |
Important dates | Online Application: Usually opens between July to September Admit Card Download: October / November Entrance Exam: January / April (depending on phase) |
Important documents to be uploaded with the application form | Passport size photograph Student signature Date of Birth Certificate Residence (Domicile) Certificate Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC), if applicable Disability Certificate (if applicable) |
Admission In Class 6
A common application form is filled for all the 5 Schools of India. The entire application process in ONLINE.

Admission In Class 8
The admission test is held twice a year, hence the eligible child can apply twice a year.
Availability of form | By post (To be obtained from RIMC, can request the form online at RIMC site). |
Submission of form | By Post to respective state office. |
Important dates | Application process begins: February for the June exam cycle. Last date to apply: 31st March for the June exam cycle. |
Important documents to go with the application form | Photographs of the child. Date of Birth Certificate. Domicile Certificate. School verification certificate. Aadhaar Card. |
