This page gives details on the Written Exam pattern for the admission of:
- All India Sainik Schools
- All India Navodaya Vidyalaya
- RMS – Rashtriya Military Schools.
- RIMC – Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun
It is to be noted that each of these exams are different, independent and conducted on different dates.

4 (Maths, English Language, GK & Intelligence)
Objective (answers have to be marked)
2 & ½ hours ( 150 minutes), Single day
All India Sainik School Exam conducted once a year, on first Sunday of January, for admission to class 6 and class 9 for its 31 schools. These exams are now conducted by National Testing Agency.

2 Hours (120 Minutes), Single Day Exam
The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test is conducted once a year for admission to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya across India. The exam is organized to select talented students, mainly from rural areas.

RMS –CET, All India Entrance exam for admission in class 6 and class 9 for its 5 schools is conducted ONCE a year in December.

*Earlier the exam used to be conducted over 2 days, however since 2020, owing to Pandemic, the exam gets conducted on a single day.

The Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted for admission into various professional and higher secondary courses. The examination evaluates students’ knowledge, problem-solving ability, logical reasoning, and subject understanding. CET helps students secure admission in reputed schools, colleges, and technical institutions.
